Knecht Baby Sweater

Simple sweater for baby Knecht, his mother I've know since she was 7, and is now 31.
Really simple, knitted in one piece starting from the front bottom edge, using Carons "Simply Soft" yarn , in Herring Bone stitch, changing colors every  4 rows.
Knit up to underarms, cast on 2/3 the number of body stitches, work acrost row in pattern, then cast on 2/3 more stitches for second arm again working back acrost row in pattern stitch.
After 6 rows or so, bind off stitches for neck, knit acrost sleeve stitches keeping pattern, on just the one sleeve for about 2 rows, then cast on for back neck edge, and start working again acrost opposite sleeve stitches. Continue working to make back match front, then bind off and sew up seams.
Very easy, interesting and fast!

Pattern can easily be enlarged to make a sweater for mother and baby both.

"I hope this causes you to think about the life of the mother and baby in a more loving way."
