I am pro-life because it's the only way I can live in this life.
I LOVED having my two children and I have always been drawn to women with many children ... more than 2 usually. I have been really ANNOYING to people with many children because of this. I ADMIRE immensely those who have more than two children and that they do it well.
But God gave me two children. I NEVER was pregnant other than the two times I had the two children. I LOVED being a Mom - I LOVED being pregnant - I LOVED MY CHILDREN and HOPED that they would turn out well and KNOW that I loved them immensely and would do ALMOST anything to make their lives better.
My two sis's have had abortions and one thing I noticed about my one sister is that it's closed her heart to me and to the world around her. I don't know if that's shame or what - I know that it's some sort of brokenness that is unfathomable and she's unable to get over it without Jesus/God's help. Without HIM she will NEVER be my friend again. Without His Love and restoration - I will NEVER be able to see in her eyes that she LOVES me and doesn't HATE me. I pray this for her.
The other sis is a surviver of abortion and is MEGA pro-LIFE - and I applaud her passion. I hope that it ignites a fire across this country so that others will be inspired to believe also.
The MAIN reason I am pro-life is that - it's a HUMAN baby - this knowledge was brought to me very early in my life - I NEVER considered a pregnant woman anyone other than someone who is weak and strong - she is loved and being loved - she is vulnerable and impenetrable - she is cherished by God and she is protected by Him to bring that baby to birth ... She is a mystery and what she's going through is also a mystery.
I am pro-life - because it is the only way for me to be ... I hope that others will follow me to LIFE ....
Psalm 139 in the Bible speaks of how God; who is the embodiment of Love, watched as we each were being formed in our mother's womb, "...as I was woven together in the dark of the womb." We were "knitted together in love", and it is the hope of the writer's of this blog, that you will accept that you are personally loved, as well as all those around you, and you will act according to love.
